This is an unhosted event, but alumni and staff are encouraged to get together with friends and family and enjoy a day out at the races. Focusing on British electoral politics and the question of Europe, our next YAA Network event at the Royal Institute of Engineering on Tuesday 30 May will examine how Brexit will affect the outcome of the 2017 general election, and what the general election will mean for Brexit.
We’re pleased to announce that Vanbrugh and Alcuin College 50th Anniversary Weekend will be taking place from 20 to 22 April 2018. In addition, the Vanbrugh College London alumni group will be hosting their annual summer get-together on Monday 5 June and would love you to join them at the Soho Business Club in London for a catch-up and after-work drinks. YSTV will be hosting a weekend of activity to celebrate their 50th anniversary on 3 November 2017 – save the date for now.
Department of Biology alumni are invited to attend the annual Biology event on Saturday 17 June from 11am to 4pm. Alumni will meet in the Biology Department for drinks, snacks and talks on the Department ‘then’ and ‘now’, followed by a tour of the Department and an opportunity to talk to current and past staff members.
Our annual celebration of philanthropy and donor reception takes place on Tuesday 4 July from 6 to 8 pm. A drinks reception will be hosted by the Chancellor of the University of York, Professor Sir Malcolm Grant, at the King’s Fund in London. Further details to follow.
In 2018, the Centre for Applied Human Rights will celebrate their 10th anniversary and will be hosting a celebration event over the weekend of 26 January 2018 which all alumni, fellows, staff, students, friends and supporters are welcome to attend – please express your interest in attending this event here.
